It’s that time again, New Yorkers! #NYFW is here. Models casually brunching at your favorite spots, and designers flocking to the city in anticipation of finally showcasing their collections; this week is one of the most important ones for the fashion community. Although there are too many to count, LCNY is offering our insider opinion about which shows to anticipate.
First and foremost, we need to start with YEEZY Season 3. Kanye West’s collection will be one that includes models and public participation. He’s hiring 1200 people to be a part of his Season 3 show, those of whom will be placed among the casted models (hoping members of the Kardashians/Jenners will appear again!). The collection HAS to be scandalous, since the teaser of the line shows a girl wearing a home-arrest anklet. Yeezy always leaves us wondering what the theme of his next show will be…

The Row will be an especially good show to keep an eye out for, because the brand decided to cancel its spot in NYFW and opted for Paris instead. In both 2011 and 2015, the Olsen twins have ducked out of the New York scene. Not Euro enough for you…are we Michelle from Full House? Their line is a staple because it’s simple, yet luxurious aura makes us all jealous.

Marissa Webb, ex-creative director of Banana Republic, has been showcasing her fab collection season to season. However, this show will be her first show independent of Banana Republic. Kanye West pulled another VMA-like theft by placing his show at the same time as Webb’s, so she moved hers up an hour before Yeezy is to showcase his line. Marissa Webb goes on at 3pm and everyone is excited for her to let us see what she has in store.
