We love listening to music, but it is always fun to check out music videos from artists to see their point of view on their song and how they interpret it further than the lyrics. There were so many great songs in 2015 so we decided to showcase our favorite music videos for this post. We loved Feeling Myself by Nicki Minaj featuring Beyonce, but it is only available to view on Tidal. If you haven’t seen that video you definitely should, but here are some of our favorite videos of the year!
Hotline Bling by Drake
Everyone has gone bonkers over Drake’s newest hit Hotline Bling, but why wouldn’t you? It’s Drake! His lyrics are smooth and catchy and we are in love with his gray chunky sweater and wicked dance moves. We have seen memes for days and parodies on all the late night shows, but this video is the original and greatest. Unfortunately, Drake we do know when that hotline bling, it could only mean one thing…
Hello by Adele
Ok we know this song just came out recently, but Hello by Adele is ground breaking! Not only did she sell 3.4 million albums in a single week, but she also has a flip phone in this sepia-tone music video. It has been a few years since we have heard anything from Adele, but her winged eyeliner is so on point and album is way worth the wait! This song is about moving on so get your tissues and belt this song out over wine with your girlfriends.
Bad Blood by Taylor Swift featuring Kendrick Lamar
This song was on our list of top songs of the summer and now it deserves a spot in our top videos of the year because let’s face it, this is one badass video! With an all star cast including Selena Gomez, Cara Delevingne, Gigi Hadid, Ellie Goulding, Lily Aldridge, Lena Dunham, and even Cindy Crawford these ladies throw knives, shoot rocket launchers, and even blow stuff up! Also, did we mention they all have amazing aliases like Arsyn, Slay-Z, Homeslice, Cut Throat, and Domino? We have some serious FOMO and #SquadGoals for 2016.
Sorry by Justin Bieber
This video will make you do a happy dance! We weren’t Beliebers until Justin’s latest album “Purpose” just dropped with songs “Where Are U Now?” featuring Diplo & Skrillex and “What Do You Mean?” But #sorrywearenotsorry “Sorry” has to be our favorite new song from the Biebs! Perfect to dance to with your girlfirends, we aren’t jealous of the video girls per usual because these girls know how to dance! They break it down with sick moves in colorful outfits that look straight out of the 90’s. We can listen to this song on repeat.
Elastic Heart by Sia
You may not be fans of Shia LaBeouf, but I am sure you are Sia fans! Sia has created some amazing songs this year and music videos including Maddie Ziegler an incredible dancer who is only 13 years old! This music video is emotional, meaningful and something you have to see for yourself if you haven’t already. Sia rocked the music industry by asking not to show her face and wears big wigs when performing because she wants to have her entertainment life and personal life separate. Understandable and we like it! The music speaks for itself.
Bitch Better Have My Money by Rihanna
Hands down the most crazy/insane/awesome/gruesome/interesting/story telling music video of all the videos of 2015! The premise of the video is “the accountant” owes Rihanna money so she kidnaps his wife and goes on a crazy road trip. In this video, Rih Rih has the baddest style (as always where did she get that patchwork coat from?) awesome cars, and is on a boat in the middle of the ocean shooting flares and guns. Rihanna even picked her henchwoman off of Instgram for this video! She is a true #bossbitch meets Dexter when she closes the video laying in money covered in blood. Note to self: Never get on Rihanna’s bad side.
