The big names in fashion are all associated with a strong point of view and a distinctive style. But who comes up with the color trends that are evident on the runway? The fashion business says individuals decide trends and designers can agree or disagree to promote those colors in their collections. Here at LCNY, we like to design our own trends and colors. Colors no one else in the world can create. Which makes our bags a leader for uniqueness in style and color. So yes, this week has been filled with inspirations and influences from different forecasts all over the world.
Our team attended the Lineapelle show that is a forecast tradeshow of all different types of leathers. From alligator skins, to crocodile, to snake, they had it all at this show. The tanneries exemplified these skins from all over the world that designers like Lauren, can get an idea of where the collections are evolving too. For example, these types of skins inspired our bespoke line. We also sat in on a trend-forecasting meeting for ideas of construction for the fall/winter 2016 lines. We truly enjoyed this show and recommend all types of fashion enthusiasts to check it out!
Primièrevision was another exhibit we attended which was a little different than the other. This show specializes in accessories, fabrics, and prints to all designers. At this exhibit, designers can look for sourcing and meet with the companies one on one to purchase prints or fabrics from them. They also offer buttons, hangtags and an assortment of small goods that designers can choose from. All of these habiliments spark interests in designers and trigger designs for future collections.
The Fashion Institute of Technology also offered a manufacturing tradeshow. The tradeshow is focused to teach designers the best ways to work with various types of suppliers and help answer product development questions. These shows are extremely beneficial to fashion producers! Our team loves attending shows like these and we recommend all fashion followers to attend and be inspired by what’s out there.
