Between work, social engagements and planning for the holidays, time goes by so fast! Before you know it, it will be 2015. Sometimes you have to make yourself stop and smell the roses, and what better place than New York City? Whatever your style, the big apple has events that make perfect excuses to enjoy yourself amid the stressors of everyday life.

First of all, retail therapy is essential. And Chelsea Market has perfect shops for apparel, accessories and food from 7-9 pm on weekdays and 8-8 pm on Sundays. Artists & Fleas is a featured shop at Chelsea Market, which has 30 independent designers of art, fashion and vintage items. For more shopping in a gorgeous atmosphere, Bryant Park’s skating center has more than 125 holiday shops. They include jewelry, decor and local cuisine, open from 7-10 pm. Saving the best for last, Creeds Collective holiday pop up shop is an awesome way to support special designers. Located at 54 Crosby St. in Soho, Creeds Collective has brands in fashion, beauty, art and lifestyle (including Lauren Cecchi New York) from 11-7 pm until December 28th.

If you’re leaning towards a nice night out for cocktails, the Botanical Gardens have Bar Car nights where you can sip a complimentary cocktail and check out ice sculpture demos, local food, live jazz and the fire and light performances of Cirque de Light. When you’ve had your fill of shopping and drinks, stop by the beautiful colors of the Rockefeller Christmas Tree. Lit every day until early January, at 76 feet tall and with 45,000 lights, it’s a sight behold whether you’re a visitor or a local.

Yours in Style,

Laura from the Lauren Cecchi New York Team
