Escaping far above the city with cooler air and amazing views of the city’s skyline makes perfect sense for a summer night. We put together a few of our favorite rooftop bars that you must check out. A drink, great food and a cool breeze are not the only attractive features to a rooftop bar. The best bars have all those delights plus a view and amazing décor.
One of our go-to spots after a long day of work, The Press Lounge located in Hell’s Kitchen area is the perfect place to wine down and enjoy a cocktail. Admire sunsets far west at this glass-enclosed spot that’s breaking out seasonal cocktails and eats for the fall and winter as well. The Hudson River scoping rooftop is a perfect spot in good weather!
230 Fifth is a great place to catch an amazing summer view of the city. And in the winter? Well, they’re known to have rooftop igloos to drink your drinks inside of. This spectacular rooftop is known to be New York’s largest outdoor rooftop garden and fully enclosed penthouse lounge. Not only does this place have stunning views, but also the most delicious cocktails to enjoy. 230 Fifth is a must try!
The McKittrick Hotel’s bewitching outdoor bar boasts some pretty gorgeous decor, with vintage train tracks and boxcars, lush greenery, live jazz music and an ethereal, haunting old-world ambiance. The rooftop bar, Gallow Green opened for the season and they’re promising plenty of creative cocktails this time around. This roof lounge known for the green garden vibe serves chic cocktails and punch bowls that are absolutely delicious. Enjoy this lounge on a cool summer night!
The Refinery Rooftop is the crowning jewel of the Refinery Hotel, a rooftop bar and lounge featuring cinematic views of the Manhattan skyline and Empire State Building. The fabulous signature cocktail list focuses on natural ingredients paired in surprising and refreshing combinations. Concoctions rooted in biochemistry can cleanse your palate, shift your mood, or evoke a childhood memory with every sip!
