Spring 2015 NYFW in a Nutshell

By : ,

Spring 2015 New York Fashion week was definitely one of a kind. It was a very cold, windy and snowy week in New York City, which made it hard for bloggers to get their ideal street shots. Editors were also M.I.A. at fashion shows because of the weather. But for the rest of us, Uber was lifesaving!

But despite the cold weather, there was a fair amount of celebrity excitement. Kendall Jenner strutted her stuff at Vera Wang, where chunky knits were the thing for next season. Rihanna graced the front row of Zac Posen, where Naomi Campbell also stole the show with Zac Posen himself at the finale. Kanye West debuted new Adidas footwear at his YEEZY show, where the likes of Beyonce and Diddy viewed his new collection. Michael Kors had a stand-out show with the likes of Jada Pinkett Smith and Olivia Munn watching apparel with flowers and sequin embroidery. Alexander Wang also had a pretty rock n’ roll meets gothic show.

The bloggers that braved the cold rocked colorful fur jackets to stay warm. Overall, leather, fur and chunky knits were everywhere at New York Fashion Week. On the lighter side, Honor had frothy pastel colors and Leanne Marshall debuted flowing evening gowns in shades of gold, ruby, and burnt orange. Although the less-than-ideal weather kept even the most seasoned fashionistas away from shows and events, there was an amazingly diverse group of shows plus celebrity sightings throughout Fashion Week.
