Health Kick: Refreshing Green Smoothie

Do you ever want to detox from the bad things in life? We all know the feeling; you feel run down and burnt out. But the good news is that you can treat food like medicine to help your mind and body heal. Accordingly, a healthy green smoothie with fresh ingredients can give you a much-needed vitamin boost. And for all of you out there who might be short on money and ingredients, you can probably find these items just laying around your home! 



2 oranges halved and peeled

2 apples sliced

1/4 cup sliced strawberries

1 cup vanilla greek yogurt

2 cups spinach

1 small handful ice, as desired

1 dash of milk


First, halve and peel oranges, slice apples and slice strawberries. Combine in blender with yogurt and spinach, and blend until smooth. If smoother consistency is desired, add dash of milk, and if chilled smoothie is desired, add small handful of ice. Let this detox smoothie give you a little boost of happiness, because you deserve it!
