It’s that time of year again, a time of runway shows, fabulous events, and all things fashion. Yes, NYFW is upon us and before all of the craziness begins, I wanted to share some behind the scenes memories from our SS16 shoot. This is the beautiful magic that happens when we are on set! Watch as I take you behind the lens with my crew and share some of the amazing footage on one sunny Saturday in New York City.
None of this magic would be possible without our brilliant photographer Taylor Ballantyne who works for Sports Illustrated among other major publications. We met on a Harper’s Bazaar shoot over a year ago and immediately clicked! Kevin Guinto is our amazing videographer from Showtime who films with us on the weekends and understands the aesthetic to my brand. Usually I tell Kevin what I am looking for and he takes it from there!
When planning a shoot, I usually work with a modeling agency to book a professional model, but recently decided to use one of the many beautiful people I’ve met in NYC. I’ve began approaching people on train platforms and city streets, they must think I am very odd, but why not just ask them? Our model for this shoot was Ashley Bolton, a girl I went up to at Ruschmeyer’s in Montauk and begged to model for me!
And finally a huge thank you to Ashley Isaacs who always come through with the beautiful garments that you see in my shoots! Don’t know what I would do without my first New York City friend and stylist! So here are some behind the scenes shots from our Spring/Summer 2016 shoot! I hope you enjoy!
GLAMSQUAD coming through with hair and make up with our first shot on the roof!
Bryant Park & The New York Public Library was our first spot and one of my favorite places to shoot in the city!
Totally candid! Look at Ashley’s sneakers and that is her bicycle!
We wrapped the shoot in West Village on Perry Street and hit up lunch at Extra Virgin afterward!
